How I got my Google SWE Intern offer after 3 failed OAs

After failing two rounds last fall, I completely changed my prep strategy. Focused on patterns over individual problems, did timed mocks every day, and was ruthlessly honest about my weak areas. Here's the full breakdown of what changed.

Amazon SDE 1 New Grad — full loop breakdown (4 rounds)

Just finished my Amazon loop last week and got the offer. The process was intense: 1 OA, 1 phone screen, and 4 virtual onsite rounds. Leadership Principles came up in every single round. Here are my detailed notes on each one.

Question

Is Meta's intern OA still graph-heavy this cycle? [2025]

Seeing mixed reports online. My OA last week had 2 problems — one was a BFS variant and the other felt like a modified sliding window. Anyone else have a recent Meta OA? Would love to compare notes before the next round.

Microsoft New Grad full loop — mostly behavioral, no LC hard

Contrary to what I expected, my Microsoft loop was mostly behavioral and systems thinking questions. Only one LC-style problem across 5 rounds, and it was medium difficulty. Culture fit and STAR stories were weighted heavily.

Stripe intern offer — what I wish I knew before applying

Stripe's process is unlike any FAANG interview. It's more collaborative — you work through problems with the interviewer rather than solving silently. They want to see how you think out loud. Here are my prep resources and tips.

Question

Nvidia SWE Intern OA — system design at intern level?

Got an Nvidia OA that had a mini system design question I wasn't expecting at the intern level. It was about designing a simple cache with LRU eviction. Anyone else seen this? How did you approach it?
